Nagpur’s MIHAN Project Gears Up for Next Phase of Expansion

Nagpur, Maharashtra – The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has announced that the Multi-modal International Hub Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN) project is set for a significant expansion, aiming to attract further investment in the technology and logistics sectors. This next phase will focus on enhancing infrastructure, including improved road connectivity and utility services, to support the burgeoning industries within the Special Economic Zone. Officials indicated that the expansion is a strategic move to bolster Nagpur’s position as a key industrial and transit hub in central India.

The expansion plan includes the development of an additional 200 acres of land within the MIHAN SEZ. This area will be earmarked for IT companies, manufacturing units, and warehousing facilities. Recent reports suggest that several national and international firms have expressed keen interest in setting up operations in MIHAN, drawn by its strategic location and the state government’s supportive industrial policies. The project aims to create thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities for the local populace.

Furthermore, to streamline operations and facilitate easier movement of goods, the MIDC is working in collaboration with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to upgrade the access roads leading to MIHAN. This includes widening existing roads and improving intersections to reduce transit times. The integration of enhanced digital infrastructure is also a priority, with plans to ensure robust internet connectivity and other essential services for businesses operating within the zone.

नागपुर, महाराष्ट्र – महाराष्ट्र औद्योगिक विकास निगम (MIDC) ने घोषणा की है कि नागपुर स्थित मल्टी-मॉडल इंटरनेशनल हब एयरपोर्ट (MIHAN) प्रोजेक्ट विस्तार के एक महत्वपूर्ण चरण के लिए तैयार है, जिसका उद्देश्य प्रौद्योगिकी और लॉजिस्टिक्स क्षेत्रों में और अधिक निवेश आकर्षित करना है। इस अगले चरण में विशेष आर्थिक क्षेत्र (SEZ) के भीतर फलते-फूलते उद्योगों का समर्थन करने के लिए बेहतर सड़क संपर्क और उपयोगिता सेवाओं सहित बुनियादी ढांचे को बढ़ाया जाएगा। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि यह विस्तार मध्य भारत में नागपुर की एक प्रमुख औद्योगिक और पारगमन केंद्र के रूप में स्थिति को मजबूत करने के लिए एक रणनीतिक कदम है।

विस्तार योजना में MIHAN SEZ के भीतर अतिरिक्त 200 एकड़ भूमि का विकास शामिल है। इस क्षेत्र को आईटी कंपनियों, विनिर्माण इकाइयों और भंडारण सुविधाओं के लिए आरक्षित किया जाएगा। हालिया रिपोर्टों से पता चलता है कि कई राष्ट्रीय और अंतरराष्ट्रीय फर्मों ने MIHAN में परिचालन स्थापित करने में गहरी रुचि व्यक्त की है, जो इसके रणनीतिक स्थान और राज्य सरकार की सहायक औद्योगिक नीतियों से आकर्षित हैं। परियोजना का उद्देश्य स्थानीय लोगों के लिए हजारों प्रत्यक्ष और अप्रत्यक्ष रोजगार के अवसर पैदा करना है।

इसके अलावा, संचालन को सुव्यवस्थित करने और माल की आसान आवाजाही की सुविधा के लिए, MIDC राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (NHAI) के सहयोग से MIHAN की ओर जाने वाली एक्सेस सड़कों को अपग्रेड करने पर काम कर रहा है। इसमें पारगमन समय को कम करने के लिए मौजूदा सड़कों को चौड़ा करना और चौराहों में सुधार करना शामिल है। बेहतर डिजिटल बुनियादी ढांचे का एकीकरण भी एक प्राथमिकता है, जिसमें ज़ोन के भीतर काम करने वाले व्यवसायों के लिए मजबूत इंटरनेट कनेक्टिविटी और अन्य आवश्यक सेवाओं को सुनिश्चित करने की योजनाएं हैं।
