**Nagpur Boosts Logistics with New Warehouse Park, MSEDCL Undertakes Major Power Infrastructure Upgrade**

Nagpur has recently seen significant developments in its infrastructure. A new integrated logistics park was inaugurated in Gondkhairi, spanning 105 acres and featuring approximately 2.5 million square feet of Grade-A warehousing capacity. This project, with an investment of around ₹600 crore, is expected to create nearly 15,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities and aims to strengthen the region’s manufacturing and supply chain capabilities. The park is strategically connected to National Highway 44 and the Samruddhi Expressway, utilizing AI-enabled smart warehousing systems.

In response to soaring electricity demand, which has reached a record high of nearly 950 MW, putting severe pressure on the city’s power distribution network, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) is undertaking a substantial upgrade. The company is executing power projects worth over ₹1,385 crore across the district. This includes the construction of 21 new 33/11 kV substations and capacity enhancement of seven existing ones, along with the installation of numerous transformers and extensive overhead and underground cabling.

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is also actively engaged in pre-monsoon preparedness, focusing on urban flood readiness and the rejuvenation of public wells. Commissioner Dr. Vipin Itankar has directed officials to expedite river and drain cleaning, pruning of hazardous tree branches, and surveys of dilapidated buildings. To bolster water supply during anticipated dry periods, the NMC has initiated tenders for the restoration of public wells in several zones, aiming to make them supplementary water sources.

Furthermore, the city is progressing with its railway station redevelopment project, aiming to transform Nagpur into a world-class travel hub. Significant progress has been made on elements such as underground parking facilities, while new buildings and concourses are nearing completion. The project also emphasizes integration with the Nagpur Metro, creating a multimodal transit hub.

नागपुर नगर निगम (NMC) शहरी बाढ़ की तैयारी और सार्वजनिक कुओं के पुनरुद्धार पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हुए मानसून की तैयारी में भी सक्रिय रूप से लगा हुआ है। आयुक्त डॉ. विपिन इटणकर ने अधिकारियों को नदी और नालों की सफाई, खतरनाक पेड़ की शाखाओं की छंटाई और जर्जर इमारतों के सर्वेक्षण में तेजी लाने का निर्देश दिया है। अपेक्षित सूखे की अवधि के दौरान जल आपूर्ति को बढ़ावा देने के लिए, एनएमसी ने कई क्षेत्रों में सार्वजनिक कुओं की बहाली के लिए निविदाएं जारी की हैं, जिसका उद्देश्य उन्हें अतिरिक्त जल स्रोत बनाना है।

इसके अलावा, शहर अपने रेलवे स्टेशन के पुनर्विकास परियोजना के साथ आगे बढ़ रहा है, जिसका लक्ष्य नागपुर को विश्व स्तरीय यात्रा केंद्र में बदलना है। अंडरग्राउंड पार्किंग सुविधाओं जैसे तत्वों पर महत्वपूर्ण प्रगति हुई है, जबकि नई इमारतों और कॉनकोर्स का काम लगभग पूरा हो चुका है। इस परियोजना में नागपुर मेट्रो के साथ एकीकरण पर भी जोर दिया गया है, जिससे एक मल्टीमॉडल ट्रांजिट हब का निर्माण हो रहा है।
