The corridor is also expected to significantly improve coal transportation from local mines to power stations.

**NMC Launches Single-Window Portal for Ganesh Festival Permissions**

In an effort to streamline the process of obtaining permissions for Ganeshotsav mandals, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has introduced an online “Single-Window Scheme.” Launched on August 27, 2026, this portal allows mandals to apply for necessary permissions and No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for pandal erection, fire safety, and electricity arrangements through a single platform.
