**Nagpur Gears Up for Infrastructure Boost with New Logistics Hub and Urban Development Projects**

Nagpur is poised for significant growth with ongoing infrastructure development, including the establishment of a major multimodal logistics park within the MIHAN Special Economic Zone (MIHAN-SEZ). The Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) has partnered with the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) to develop this park on 19.92 acres, aiming to strengthen central India’s logistics network and boost industrial growth. This development is expected to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce logistics costs for businesses in the region.

The city is also seeing progress in its urban development initiatives. More than 75% of individuals affected by the Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport (MIHAN) project have received developed plots as part of the rehabilitation process. In a significant step towards modernizing its trade infrastructure, Nagpur is shifting wholesale markets from congested areas to Kalamana. Furthermore, the city’s ring road is set to get a continuous service road, a project worth over Rs 1,600 crore aimed at easing urban congestion and reinforcing Nagpur’s position as a logistics capital.

In the MIHAN SEZ itself, 90 out of 120 allotted companies are now operational, generating over 1.27 lakh jobs in the region. However, authorities are planning to take action against 33 companies that have not yet commenced work on their allotted plots in MIHAN, with potential notices for immediate development or surrendering the land.

शहर में अपनी शहरी विकास पहलों में भी प्रगति देखी जा रही है। मल्टी-मोडल इंटरनेशनल कार्गो हब और एयरपोर्ट (एमआईएचएएन) परियोजना से प्रभावित 75% से अधिक लोगों को पुनर्वास प्रक्रिया के हिस्से के रूप में विकसित भूखंड प्राप्त हुए हैं। अपने व्यापार बुनियादी ढांचे के आधुनिकीकरण की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम के रूप में, नागपुर कलामांना में थोक बाजारों को भीड़भाड़ वाले क्षेत्रों से स्थानांतरित कर रहा है। इसके अलावा, शहर की रिंग रोड को एक निरंतर सेवा सड़क मिलेगी, जो एक Rs 1,600 करोड़ से अधिक की परियोजना है जिसका उद्देश्य शहरी भीड़ को कम करना और लॉजिस्टिक्स राजधानी के रूप में नागपुर की स्थिति को मजबूत करना है।

एमआईएचएएन एसईजेड में ही, 120 आवंटित कंपनियों में से 90 अब चालू हैं, जिससे क्षेत्र में 1.27 लाख से अधिक नौकरियां उत्पन्न हुई हैं। हालांकि, अधिकारी एमआईएचएएन में अपनी आवंटित भूखंडों पर काम शुरू नहीं करने वाली 33 कंपनियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करने की योजना बना रहे हैं, जिसमें तत्काल विकास या भूमि सौंपने के लिए नोटिस जारी करने की संभावना है।
