**Nagpur Municipal Corporation Streamlines Ganesh Mandal Permissions**

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has announced the implementation of a new single-window online clearance system designed to simplify the process for Ganesh mandals seeking permissions and No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for the upcoming Ganeshotsav. This initiative was formalized during a high-level review meeting chaired by Mayor Nita Thakre on Thursday, August 6, 2026, to assess the city’s preparations for the festival. The meeting, held at the Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Standing Committee Hall, included key officials such as Police Commissioner Vishwas Nangre Patil and Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vipin Itankar, alongside representatives from various civic bodies, ensuring a coordinated approach to festival management.

Under the new system, mandals will be able to obtain all necessary permissions and NOCs from the Police, Traffic Police, Fire Department, and the Charity Commissioner’s office through a unified online platform. To further facilitate the process, facilitation centers will be established at all NMC zonal offices, in addition to the NMC headquarters, to assist mandals and prevent unnecessary delays. In a related development, the NMC is also preparing to distribute 1.75 lakh Indian national flags across the city as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
