**Nagpur Gears Up for Infrastructure Boost and International Conclave**

Nagpur is set to witness significant infrastructure development and host a major international event in the coming days. GMR Airports has unveiled an ambitious multi-phase expansion roadmap for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, backed by an initial investment of ₹300 crore. This plan includes immediate upgrades within 12 to 18 months, such as refurbishing the existing terminal and enhancing airside and landside facilities. Phase 2 will focus on capacity expansion, including a new integrated passenger terminal and a new cargo terminal, while Phase 3 will see the construction of a second runway and a new Air Traffic Control tower.

In parallel, Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (MahaRail) will dedicate nine major rail infrastructure projects across six districts of the state on Sunday, July 12. The inauguration ceremony for these projects, which include Road Over Bridges (ROBs), subways, and a Road Under Bridge (RUB), will be held at the newly constructed Deepti Signal ROB in Nagpur. This will affect water supply in several parts of North Nagpur, including areas under the Nara, Nari, Jaripatka, and Nara NIT command areas.
